Adjust hand brake

I have adjusted the brakes on my series 3, stage 1 Land-Rover with
great sucess. How can I tell if I have over adjusted the handbrake as
the drive shaft is engaged all the time.

Chock front wheels, jack up rear wheels, release park brake, see if you
can spin driveshaft.
