After struggling to cure what appeared to be at first leaking sunroof then leaking windscreen i have today at last seem to have cracked the problem.
I have had a water leak which manifested itself after heavy rain by coming out in the front right-hand corner of the headlining where it meets the wind screen.
In the course of the last 6 years I have had the windscreen removed and refitted three times, both sun roofs removed and resealed and the gutter boxes repaired etc all to no avail.
This leak has been driving me mad but yesterday I pulled the plastic trim off from above the rear door and lo and behold it revealed that the roof skins were parting (see picture) I put sealant along the join and refitted the trim tonight after a heavy downpour no leak.
The moral of this story is that if you get a leak it can come all the way from the rear of the car to the front screen area.
The water had been getting between the roof skins and finding a weak spot at the front to come out of.
