Recently i purchased my entry into the landrover brotherhood. I have become the owner of a series 3 long wheel base 2 litre canvas top landrover. Although i do love her Laila, as i have named her, has an expensive taste in the leaded stuff. I knew they are no Toyota Prius, but after filling one tank with 20 quid, i managed to get 25 miles out of it before stuttering to a stop and having to switch over to the other tank. Now this works out at about 6 miles to the gallon. Admittedly, it was stuck in traffic for a good part of the day, but really, can this be right? aM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG? i have her as a second car, so dont rely on her. Basically my jounry to work and back (approx 20 miles) used up most of the juice.
Any pointers would be very welcome or what to watch for? thanks in advance.
