Hello all:
Total newbie to Land Rovers, but not to working on my own vehicles...
I have a couple of issues with a 96 Disco I bought from my uncle about a
year ago.
The heater/ac motor will burn out it's fuse everytime it is replaced.
Any ideas where to start looking for the electrical issue?
Under the alpine windows right about the center of both windows on the
bottom, where the weather stripping meets the body is beginning to rust.
Just wanted to know if this was common. I'm planning to remove and weld
in some new metal.
On 2 occasions, I have gone out in the morning to go to work, and the
drivers side rear window will be down about 5 inches. I know, I know,
but I really did not forget and leave it down or set anything on the
window control. I can only imagine an electrical connection being made
by moisture or something else that rolls the window down. Attempting to
roll it back up sometimes works on the first try, sometimes I have to
wait and try again later. The passenger side mechanism is broken (the
little white plastic ring in the track) and I believe the motor may even
be siezed so no worries on that one.
We'll start with these, and thanks very much in advance for any
help/input.
