i have a 95 RR Diesel driving along at 40 mph suddenly the Engine cuts off at the same time the glow plug warning light comes on dash, i ck for fuel at filter none, Ck fuse & pump relay fuse #39 was blown Replace turn Ign on now getting fuel at Filter but did not look like much Pressure, i replaced the Intank Fuel Pump Still dont look like a lot of Pressure, (Also checked the Fuel Shut Off solenoid on the Pump it appears to be ok)Anyhow i try to Bleed System to the Injectors, Can get fuel to the FIP but nothing to the Injectors, i am thinking maybe the FIP is kabut as the car has been hard to start when hot for a while now it has (331,000kms) about 215k Miles, Just wondering if anyone has encountered this problem, i do have a used FIP from a Vauxhall Omega TDS, I Believe this is Compatible i hve heard that a BMW 525 TDS is not suitable, i dont have the tool to hold the timing gears in situ will invest in the tool if i can figure out that the FIP is faulty, Any help on this Appreciated
