93 RRC front axle question

Hi, need to replace front axle(ABS) on a V8 93 RRC, have a 94 RRC soft dash 300tdi axle, does anyone know if these are direct swap, cos they look different. The V8 axle shock and spring are on different mounts, while the Tdi is the more usual shock inside spring, any advice welcome, Thanks

Right then, pleasantries out of the way, we've said hi.

Axles are identical, the mounts you describe (without any pictures mind! Pictures would have gotten you a better response as not everyone can picture the two things in their minds) Basically, one is from an air suspension RRC and the other a coil sprung RRC. Look at the one with the separate shock mount, it will be above the brackets for the Panhard rod axle mount and a top shock mount that uses the same 4 bolts as the power steering box and the holes with crush tubes on the opposite side, same mount both sides to suit both LHD & RHD models. If mounting as conventional shock inside spring it should go as per normal as the front shock mounts don't stick out that far.

If they look different then they are! Post pics take measurments yourself of relevant attatchments are you doing swop yourself?
