My 1992 Classic 3.9 has no power to the Cigar lighters, none of the fuses are blown.
I have had the binacle and lower dash off to try to trace the live feed wire back to see where the fault is but loose it behind the heater assembly.
I have various wiring diagrams up to 1990 all seem to use a different fuse! The feed wire is white with a yellow trace, all of the wiring diagrams I have found show the feed wire going back to the fuse box, but there are no white with yellow trace wires going to or from the fuse box, then going back and splicing off the live feed (White) from the ignition when its switched on. I cannot find it!
Can anyone point me in the direction of the wiring diagram for RR Classic, in 1992 the Cigar lighter was relocated to the right hand side of the binacle, mine is on the left so that would infer 1991 - 1992.

B4 does have power and I have checked the fuse for continuity, all good.

I still need to know where the feed to the lighters connects, is it a splice in the loom or Via a junction or relay?
The feed to the lighters does not go directly to the fuse box, no white with yellow trace in the fuse box at all.

I really dont want to take the heater out to trace the wiring. so looks like my best bet will be to run another feed through, but I dont want to do that, when I got the car I stripped out yards of extra cables that went nowhere, complete with additional lighting relays etc. I much prefer to leave it as close to original as possible.

I can only assume that a previous owner has at some time disconnected the feed to the dash lighter and used the power supply for an alternative use.The feed on mine is from the ignition and is illuminated from the light switch.Power being fed direct from B4 .W in to B4 then G out to cig lighters.Thats the best I can do.

I will try to trace what B4 is feeding (if anything) if it's not I'll re route it.
Thanks

sorry for the hi jack but does anyone know if the two lighters are independly fused? As my front one has on power and the back one does so on bringing my rangie home i had to plug sat nav into the back and have a lead trailing through the middle.

If the fault simply cannot be traced you might consider running in another feed from the appropriate fuse or from a live battery source with an inline fuse adjacent to the lighter.

Both lighters are fed via fuse B4.Have you checked the possibility of a bad earth, or indeed loose or even a disconnection to tha dash one.Try swapping them over ,and whilst the other one is out test it independantly
It may wll be that the lighter itself is u/s.It can and does happen.

Thanks
Its not the lighter I am checking power at the input wire. I will probably run another feed through, don't like to do that, I prefer to keep the original "Standard" wiring, I know it's a bit anal, but hey we all have our crosses to bear.
