Don't have access to my Microcat just now and want to order up new suspension parts for the 90. Fed up of the HD springs, the spine shattering journeys are numbered!

So had a quick look about on the web and notice there are lots of sets of Puma shockers for sale direct take off from people who have upgraded their suspension immediately. Looking at all the images, and since Paddocks just seem to list 90 front and rear shockers, they all look the same. I just had a look at my 90, same number of bushes and washers it seems as the ones pictured from the Puma's.

So am I right in thinking that LR never actually changed the springs and shockers on the Defenders?

Thanks.

There have been different shock rates and spring rates over the years and for different applications or due to different manufacturers supplying the parts. Fitment has remained consistent.

Yes, got what you are saying, I knew there were different specs, i.e. I have the HD springs just now but really should have standard duty. So yes, fitment is what I wondered about.

Thanks

Rear lower shock bushes changed around Td5 time. Later type uses conical bushes and caps welded to the axle, the shocks also have a longer pin to accommodate the deeper bushes. You can make them fit an older axle with a spacer or two.

The rest has stayed the same.
