4wd light flashing

It all started two weeks ago after doing about 100mile trip to bridlington my
Speedo stopped working. i suspected cable has snapped. after about 20mile the 4wd light started to flash on dash. didnt think anymore of it as speedo had stopped. Then wednesday i got a flat tyre so changed my alloy on nsr for spare wheel (steelie) light never came back on when i was running spare. this morning i got the tyre sorted and refitted alloy. light came back on after about 20yrds.

Got my wheels balanced a day before i went away also changed my diff oils.

Anyone have any clues before i get mucky? i used correct spec oils and decent quality stuff not just autofactors comma stuff

The D1 is constant 4WD , I suspect what you have is the difflock light . Is your hi-lo ratio/difflock selector lever pulled over to the right , towards you in the driving seat ? Comma is very good oil by the way ,used by many fleets with expensive new vehicles .

Yeah sorry its the difflock light. and yeah its in right place. tryed moving it in and out of difflock then ignition off and on its same. it dosnt seem to be doing it much now just this morning. but ill have to get it sorted one day.
