Greetings friends, Whilst out in the Rover yesterday, the gearbox wasnt happy changing up and refused to change up from 4th to top. When i got home I checked the autobox dipstick and found that it was DRY!!!. Not good. I've put about 4 l in it today and noe its changing up fine. Question is, is this down to use (98K on the clock) or is there a problem with the box. Unforgiveably, Ive not checked it for about 9 months. The trucks a 1996 3.9V8 classic.
Any thoughts appreciated.

yes am worried its a leak but to be fair i havent seen any evidence on the drive. If it is a leak, any idea the most likely location on the box?

Well, much relief here at Fatrover Towers, have discovered the leak is coming form a wee hole in the pipe that goes from the autobox to the oil cooler on front of the rad. So it looks like a replacement pipe and alls well......

Yes, my thoughts exactly. The monkeys havin a look at it so am a wee bit worried that there might be hidden dramas... fingers crossed fer the next few days.!!
