300tdi alarm, whats it supposed to do.

My fenders alarm when I got it just flashed the led when you armed it. When triggered the horn and siren sounded constantly.
This weekend its changed. Arming gives 3 flashes of the indicators. Disarming one long flash. When triggered the horn and siren now go off intermittently.
Which is correct and what did I do change it?

cheers, its just wired that its changed from doing one thing to another, this ones easier, i know if its set cos the indicators flash, before they didnt.
Im wondering if there was a dodgy switch somwhere thats now working properly with use, it had been sat for 10 months before i bought it.
