300 tdi vacuum pump oil leak

Just discovered an oil leak on my vacuum pump{no i cant get cream for it}. disco 300 tdi 1993.anyone had this prob?how did you deal with it? Thanxs in advance mucky`un

had the same prob had to buy new pump cost me £135 easy to fit 6 bolts an u back running again

Cheers 4 the reply john.I think i got away with it this time,it had started to drop oil so i gave the pump bolts a slight tweak & no more oil since.Did you have to go the way it says in the manual? E.G: Number 1 at TDC etc,i understand this is nessesary to release the loading on the pushrod drive from the camshaft, or did you "sod it dont mess about just go for it"? muck`un.
