Hi all,
For some time now I have been looking for a good 300TDi, probably between 1996 and 1998
However, I have had my head turned recently by a couple of V8's with LPG systems, mainly because of price, interior spec and (sometimes) lower mileages.
But, A few years back I had a 4.0l Ford Explorer with a Romano multipoint LPG system which I had nothing but trouble with (rarely switching from petrol to gas automatically) so I have been a little wary of going back to gas.
Also the Explorer had a notorious issue with timing chain failure due to oil lines clogging (it happened to me) so that's made me wary of buying a large petrol unit again.
So, what would the panel think would be a good system to have been fitted to a 3.9, I assume a multipoint, given it's sheer size, but do any systems spring to mind?
Also what's the general thought on timing chains? I don't see a great deal on this site about it like I would on an Explorer site, but are there any such points to be on the lookout for?
All thougths appreciated.
Stu
