2012 defender front diff flange issue

Hi everyone I own a 2012 defender with a puma engine
I'm trying to change the front diff flange oil seal but after removing the prop and the 15mm bolt holding the flange I can't pull the flange even when applying pressure with a bar behind (watching YouTube it is removed by hand) do I need to use a puller or is something else wrong?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Probably corrosion between flange and shaft.

A puller removed the flange with no problems .

Not sure if it is the same with the newer ones but on the older axles I would always use a heavy grease (old fashioned axle grease not modern semi liquid bearing grease) on the splines when reassembling to prevent the issue happening again.

I do the same as dag019 above.
