200tdi - which down pipe?

Hi
I have a 1990 110 with a 200tdi - originally a TD. I believe the 200tdi to be from a defender not a disco.

Not sure if I need the down pipe for a TD or 200tdi though - any one know from this pic! I think it's got a TD down pipe - but could I stick a 200tdi one on it and I think it would then replace the top section as well?

If it's a TDI then it needs a TDI downpipe. only time you need to ahck about with downpipes is if it's a disco engine due to turbo been lower down than the defender 200tdi engine.

My 90 has a 200 tdi from a defender and has run for 6 years with the 19j system,may have a little less top end but having driven original 200's there seems little difference. If changing to a tdi system then you will have to make up mounting points and fit a whole 200 exaust.

Hmmm, I've bought a 200tdi downpipe and centre straight through pipe. Mainly cos I couldn't find a straight through centre pipe for a TD. Been to a custom exhaust place today who quoted me £150 to fit it all and custom do the rear pipe and side exit it. Although they are probably expecting all the mounting points to be in the same place!
