200tdi, bad mpg

I own a 200tdi manual l plate discovery, i am usually getting around an everage of 30mpg over a tank, but this week however i drive it im not achieving any more that 21mpg. Any ideas?

150k, totally standard, makes no sense as ive changed nothing.

is that the only sympthoms you have bad fuel economy no loss of power ......... when was it last serviced ..... it ant somefing like a stoopid frachered fuel pipe is it ????

It is due for a service, i have just replace the air filter today as i discovered the old one to resemble a mud soaked towel!! i will be checking pipes ect tomo, thanks for your advice,

split boost hose? fool filter?(as ian says) turbo up the pooper? got a trailer on the back? strong head wind? not enough strippers in the car? worn propshaft UJ? slow puncture? towing a parachute? handbrake on?
