Sport 2008 TDV8 (3.6)

Hi all.

It looks like I may have an option on one of these.
I'm guessing there's a reason why they ditched this engine in favour of the 4.4.
Is this something I should avoid or are they as good as any other?

there was a guy on here you had a sport said he keeped the oil topped up and complained when the engine seized, never had an oil change in 43k miles or service.
