2008 90

Hi there

Not been on here for a while since selling my disco 2. I am now in the market for a 90- I have come across a 2008 90 tdci with good millege and price. Has anyone got one at the moment the same age and could tell me how much they pay on tax ? Some slip into the cheaper some into the expensive. I'd rather pay more for vehicle than pay more for tax.

I have searched this but all the posts were posted some years ago

It must have changed again after 2005. My 2012 90 is £225 pa. You can get the tax rate on the dvla website if you have the make and reg number.

Thanks guys... This is the confusion I have. I guess asking the owner what he pays would clear it up but before I go pestering the seller I thought I would ask here.

I have tried Dvla but there are so many different links and I can't find one that tells me a definitive answer.
Any chance in a link ?

2006/7 are £500ish for sure

Yes it is a bit of a drag search. After looking at the site again I think you need the v5c serial number to get a definitive answer. But you should get an answer if you search through the following;
Find the web site gov.uk. Click on Driving and Transport. Click on Vehicle tax, MOT and insurance. Clicl on Calculate vehicle tax rates. Click on Vehicle tax rate tables. On this page click on 5) Other vehicle tax rates. This should open on a page for LGV's, from the year of your vehicle and assuming it is an LGV, the rate will be £230.
I would post a link if I knew how to, but I am old and I spent my yoof with spanners in hand, not a pc. My 2 month old grandchild is already ahead of me in the IT class!!
