2006 TD4 5 door tailgate problem and yes I have looked at other threads

Hi I am sorry to bring up this well documented problem but I have spent hours trawling through the many threads and can't find a solution. I have tried recalibrating several times but to no result.
Can I run through the symptoms to see if anyone can help.
Pull on handle and tailgate glass drops about an 1" and tailgate opens, when tailgate closed window does not go up. Open it again and it drops another 1" but when closed does not do up.
I can operate the door from the centre console switch but it only goes up or down by 2" at a time, stopping and then you have to activate switch to move again. When going up there are 2 bleeps.
I can get glass to go up using key but not remote fob.

The rear wiper and washer do not work. I can hear the pump working for front washers but not for rear.

Can someone please help, I have tried to find a solution without starting yet another thread but without luck.

Sounds similar to mine and it was the switch in the latch wasn't working, I think the switch to tell the ecu the door is closed is in it. Should be able to pick one up off ebay for £30 or so.

Thank you, Alibro. I hope to get stuck into the problem again in a couple of days. It's baffling me at the moment so I will try getting hold of a door latch.
I'll update this thread as soon as I get a result.

There is also a relay for this operation in the rear side panel. If @Alibro suggestion doesn't work, try replacing that. Sticky relays can do some weird things. Although I believe @Alibro is correct in his assumption. Mike

Hi sorry about the delay but things have been hectic. So to update you I have now had a new clutch fitted by a close friend and then had to replace the low pressure fuel pump so been really delayed in getting round to the minor niggles.
I have had a look at the rear door issue and have replaced the door catch mechanism with one that I am assured was working before being removed from the donor vehicle. I have manage to borrow window winder mechanism and the rear wiper motor. Swapping those has not worked so I am now trying to source a new relay.So watch this space.
