Hey guys,
Hoping someone can help me. I have a 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6.
When the cars cold it does it a little bit worse.
At idle in Park, it is usually okay. Sometimes it will idle a bit rough and you can feel the car shaking but nothing too bad, however it gets worse in Neutral and then Drive. But this isn't an all the time thing.
When I'm driving, it seems to judder (especially when setting off and under load (i.e going uphill) but can also feel it very slightly when coasting. It kind of feels like a misfire (like i have an injector out or something). There's no lights on the dash.
I put it in sport on the motorway last night didn't even put my foot down all the day and it hit limp mode (however it's only done it the one time in the 100 miles its been doing this).
The car starts absolutely fine whether warm or cold, no dash lights are on but haven't had it plugged in yet. However, the car smells very diesely and does chuck out a bit of black smoke sometimes.
Anyone have any ideas what this might be? I'm hoping its not injector related or something costly... hoping more like MAF sensor! You can also hear it from the engine when it does it (sounds like a chugging).
