2002 p38 diesel convert from auto to manual

hi not been a member for long but converted my 2002 p38 diesel from auto to diesel brill job I’ve done but a little bit stuck does any body know if the engine Ecu on a auto is the same as manual had becm changed buy callrover good job he did and cheap but I am having to rev the nuts of her to move or she stalls if they are different will get 2nd hand Ecu
