2001 90 TD5 rear disc brakes standard?

Hi all,

My 2001 90 has rear discs. I only realised when under there last night. I've never even though about looking, but have had it in mind as an upgrade at some point. This was based on reading various posts suggesting rear discs on a 90 isn't standard unless a 110? Or is it also age dependent?

Our 2003 90 and 2005 110 both have rear disc brakes. I don't know when they became standard, but my 1997 300tdi CSW had them.

All TD5s had discs as standard. Not sure when it came in though...

Rears should be solid discs
Fronts should be vented

Standard from 300tdi onwards, so what's that, 1994?

My 1994 200tdi came out the factory with rear disks as standard

Yup, sometimes the changeover points are a bit approximate, and they don't wait until a new model is announced before they start fitting the later components.

Yup, my TDi has a few TD5 bits on it. I guess there only must have been a handful between mine and a TD5 as it is one of the last TDis
