Just a quick question when I turn engine over to see if the remains of injector pop out do I need to put anything in hole or over if to stop it flying out or to put a little pressure on it

YES! don't let it escape - it could well be going quite quickly! The dent in the bonnet might make an interesting taking point though ..o_O

A "noggin" of 4x2 was mentioned in post #18, and #23 - good advice IMO..
