200/300tdi engine?

Afternoon all

Please can someone confirm if the 200tdi engine is a 2.5ltr engine or not?

I'm going to look at a landy next weekhopfully, its advertised as a 200tdi but has a 2.5 turbo diesel engine. Does that sounds right?

Also, The defender in questions is a 1994 car with 75k on the clock. Is there anything likely to need replacing or that should have been by that time?

both the 200 and 300 tdi's have 2.5 litre turbo diesel engines. I dont understand why you say 2.5ltr then mention 2.5 tdi later like its a different thing.

75k would hope the cam belt has been changed by this point. usual service history. its hard to tell without looking at it. buying a landy is not like buying a normal car. it all depends how hard a life its had and what your expectations are.

do you know anyone who has a landy? be worth taking them along. there are alot of threads in here about buying landy's and what to look for etc. search them out. there is too much to say.. again! If you update your profile, someone may be willing to come with you to look in exchange for beer tokens. only other thing i can suggest is thorough thorough research.
