Hello,

I'm new to this forum and hoping someone could help sort out a 'slight problem' with my 1990 Range Rover Classic. The Rangie has been running great until at about a week ago when one morning the battery was dead! To cut a long story short :D (bad joke) I've found that I've got a 2 amp drain?? Pulling all the fuses I could find one by one has proved nothing  My RRC is quite basic, no elecy seats, no air suspension, no air con.

Any help, suggestion would be great...or is this 'normal' and all part of the fun of owning a classic!

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Mechyandy,

This extract is from another forum ....

Yet another possible cause of battery drain is not putting the transmission in Park. The shop manual contains this warning: "WARNING: Always leave the vehicle with the gear selector in 'P' (Park) position when parked, even when the starter key is not removed. Failure to do so will result in the battery discharging."

Worth a look at ....
