Help with removing crankshaft pulley bolt ---It tight tight tight

Safe method is to buy a locking tool.than bolts to the crank damper and then locks against the chassis. There are lots of Different flavours around but they are not cheap.

Dangerous method is to put a three foot breaker bar on the nut and wedge it against the chassis rail and then flick the starter. Can be made safer by disconnecting the fuel solenoid wire so there is no chance of the engine starting.

Morning Fellow landy lovers , landy mechanics .
I am Mark from cape town .
Ive had a 6 cyl series 3 petrol ,ex army vehicle in the 80/90 s which I refurbished entirely ,after which i got hold of a 300 tdi hardtop with a 2,8 tdi HS powerstroke engine with few kms .This vehicle has served me well ,is used daily for work and has done several trips into Namibia without any issues (except one where the air filter was extremely dirty and the engine suffocated )I love working on and doing all the services and necessary repairs as and when required
