Hi all-

I have a 2.5 NAD Ex MOD 110. Running smooth and strong. But when I come to a stop after driving (haven't noticed it when cold) I get a randomly timed "tick". I can't source the tick noise. It is always the same sound. Never rhythmic.
It kind of sounds like the tick of a hot engine cooling down. But its not. It continues with the engine running, goes away when I turn it off.

Any ideas? I'm not too savvy on these engines. Does a lifter/push rod sound like a tick? Usually they sound like a "tock". Hollow sound of the valve cover.
Thanks
Ben

I had a similar noise when a slight leak developed at one of the injectors. Might be worth checking. If it's been happening for a while, there may be a soot mark on the rocker cover. It will be in time with revs.
