I know its been covered a zillion times a zillion different ways but...

I'm on a tight budget so bodging is a viable option:

I need to change the PAS pipe lengths - Can I use 8mm compression fittings/copper/steel pipe? For the reservoir pipes, do these need to be special hydraulic material to cope with the fluid - I notice my latex gloves disolve with PAS fluid.

Is there an easy way to connect the 2.5n/a throttle cable to the 200TDi?

The clutch housing studs are out of line. Should I just tap the housing to connect it all up or do I need to secure the housing to the block with recessed allen head bolts. Should I just use the 2.5 n/a clutch housing?

Thats it for now, thanks

Just done this conversion myself re pas I used both high and low presure and res from disco, mounting the res on the passenger side, high pressure pipe is a bit short but does fit, will have this extended at a later date,
Throttle cable from my n/a fitted strait on just routed it under the brake servo instead of over the top,
Use the flywheel housing fro the n/a then all goes together nicely have a read through the sticky on 200tdi conversion it's all covered in there

Thanks. I'll use the flywheel housing from the n/a then - not looking forward to getting the flywheel bolts off!

Another question, I dont have the disco fuel filter housing so am using the original one with loads of connections (5). Which ones do I connect were? Does anyone know what size fitting the blanking plugs are?

thanks

mmm, my n/a cable mounts on a mount under the vacuum pump. I dont think this bracket will fit on the 200. I dont know what it's supposed to look like in the disco.

I used a Pushbike cable snatch to bolt my throttle cable to the 200 works well. I swopped from a 2.5 petrol to 200tdi on a budget only problem I'm having if it's reading as it's too hot, from what I can gather the sender unit off the disco doesn't match the 2.5 n/a or petrol engine so need a defender 200tdi sender unit to get a accurate reading.
