Hi, first post on here having just bought a P38 2.5DT manual... no doubt there will be plenty more!!

Given that the BMW engine is fly by wire throttle, just wondering what would be involved in adding cruise control to my car? It is the only thing my poverty spec version is missing that I would really like to have....

I believe the controls are on the steering wheel - am I correct? So I guess a replacement wheel for starters... presumably some sort of clutch switch too... are the necessary connectors already on the wiring loom?

Anybody done this before???

Cheers,

Jerry

You will need a minimum of steering wheel, steering wheel connector ring ( I suspect), wiring harnesses, cruise control module, a High Line BECM as well instead of the Low Line which is probably fitted to your Rangie and then have the new BECM and cruise control module set up.

Cheaper to learn to maintain an even pressure on the throttle pedal.
