Hi all.

My DSE started to overheat the other day and I found that the coolant bleed path was obstructed inside the expansion tank. I drove a screwdriver through it to enlarge the path and it hasn't obstructed again. But now i'm finding that the bleed pipe is getting filled with coolant. RAVE states that this has to be unobstructed to allow air from the radiator to escape.
So, two questions: if the pipe is filled with coolant, will it affect the system ? What could be the cause for the pipe to get filled with coolant ?

Cheers!

After the air has been bled from the top of the radiator what do you expect to be on the bleed pipe? Coolant will flow through it. Unobstructed means not blocked, coolant doesn't count.
