2.2 Puma electrical fault

Hi all, I have a 2.2 puma with strange behaviour. While driving, the TC light comes on with no effect on driving, then the battery light comes on, the rev counter shuts down and the temp guage goes to maximum reading, it is as if there is a slight stutter at lwe revs and some loss in power. This happens intermittendly. When the battery light goes off, the rev and temp indicators goes back to normal and driving is perfect.
Cant seem to find anybody that can with this in part of the world.
Any suggestions?
