Hello everyone, I am advertising this TD5 for my friend, he's wrote up all the details and asked me to pop it on here for him.

His mobile number is 07512 291397, based in Leeds; West Yorkshire. Text or call him at any time of the day, or you can ask anything here and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.

He is asking for £2,700 for the car and he has been completely honest in the details. I have quite a few pictures and will upload as many as I can for you to see.

The car will come on a V plate as he is keeping the private reg!

Thanks! :D

1999 Land Rover Discovery Series 2 TD5 – AUTO for sale.

White gold.

This car was owned by my grandad before myself, I have owned this for around 3 years and its been a beauty motor. It's in good condition after being garaged by my grandad the entire time he owned it but does have some rust, nothing terminal or extremely bad.

Only 89,000 miles on the clock. We all know these engines will go forever if looked after. Serviced by myself so unfortunately no stamps to go with it but last year it had a full oil and filter change. The car isn't without its faults. It has a leaky gearbox, possibly an easy fix but unsure at this stage. The sunroofs leak, quite a bad leak. Again, an easy fix but I don't have the expertise required. There is a significant scuff on the drivers seat from getting in and out. The passenger door lock doesn't unlock when you use the fob but does sometimes lock...? A scuff on the nearside front bumper where I got a tad too friendly with a dry stone wall. I think that's about it for negatives. Expect to spend £200 - £300 on these annoying little issues. I'm not selling a PRISTINE vehicle – just to be clear!

The engine sounds sweet and the car was waxoiled and undersealed when I first got it around 3 years ago. No stains or other scuffs I don't believe. The boot has always been lined so is spotless, all 7 seats in tact and spot on. The drivers light doesn't work due to the leaking sunroofs. It pulls like a tank as expected. Full towing pack.

As I say, its not pristine but its a good motor. Its been faithful to me and has only had 2 issues while I have owned it – a coolant leak (£70 to fix) and the gearbox leak. The car has NEVER been offroaded, its had new discs and pads a few months back and generally is an excellent car.

I've tried to be completely honest with this advert, please no timewasters or silly offers. I know its not pristine, but I am somewhat of a Land Rover enthusiast (but not a mechanic!) and know how much these go for.

The car will drive with the amount of oil currently in the gearbox but I would personally either bring some oil and a method of putting it in or a trailer! Vehicle is not insured at the moment and has MOT and tax until January.

Can't figure out why the images won't work, and when I try to upload them it's not having any of it so I've made them into an album for you 1991 Land Rover Discovery AUTO 89k Miles - Imgur
