Hi All

I have sold my RR and bought a 1998 Disco

Need some advice on a few things
first
Where is the OBD socket?
Where is the jack handle and wheel brace kept?
Does the rear screen wash run off the front bottle?
Can i fit rear seats in the spaces in the boot area?

When i turn the steering wheel when parked i get a bit of a rumble from what i think is the steering rack, Can i grease this or do you think it might need replacing?

Can i fit an after market radio without much problem?

Can i change the headlights for the newer style?
Can i put electric seats from a td5 in even though mine are manual?

When think thats about it (For nlow anyhow)

Thanks peeps:)

Where is the OBD socket? in the footwell under the steeing wheel

Where is the jack handle and wheel brace kept? in a black case in the rear door pocket, jack in the battery box under the bonnet.
Does the rear screen wash run off the front bottle? cant remember, either yes or behind a panel in the boot
Can i fit rear seats in the spaces in the boot area? Yes, but will need air suspension to meet regs and insurance.

When i turn the steering wheel when parked i get a bit of a rumble from what i think is the steering rack, Can i grease this or do you think it might need replacing?

Can i fit an after market radio without much problem? do a search on here, many have done it! the correct connector is the issue.

Can i change the headlights for the newer style? yes if youre not afraid of cutting up your car around the lights to get them in... do a search...

Can i put electric seats from a td5 in even though mine are manual? probably! the wiring loom is there for it!

Ref Seats in the boot yes you can fit them but you will have to change the side panels as well for the seat belt mountings its a pig of a job but worth it
Ref electric front seats yes the wiring is their but no it wont work unless you take it to main stealer to hook up to tell the ecu to power them up all i did was to give them alternitive power supply works no problem funny thing was the heated seats worked but no power to main seats all you need in spain at this time of year heated seats
Regards Gazs

Still cant find the jack handle or wheel brace so have ordered replacements.

Also cant find the locking wheel nut. and i have noticed that there are about 10 different ones. I dont have the code for mine either

Check the tailgate pockets or the side pockets in the trunk(if it's a 5 seater) for the wheel changing tools.A good idea is to ask the seller about them as the locking wheel nut is hard to guess(letters from A to H or more). You should make a wax mould ...
