I've seriously fallen out of love with this car.. in fact, with ALL P38's! I love my Land Rovers and have owned many, but P38's are like the embarrassing uncle who you can never quite trust to not drop his trousers at a family funeral...
She's a 1997 2.5D with auto box. She starts on the button and drives great (as far as I can tell). I bought her as a "needs a bit of TLC" car to use a work car to save my L322.
She's had:
Rebuilt suspension compressor
Full service
New rocker cover gasket, also cleaned the gauze within the rocker cover
New front Terra shocks
New pads all round
New in tank fuel pump
Blood, she's also had some of blood!
She was booked in for an MOT a number of months ago, the fuel pump failed as I pulled out on the road... Back to the workshop.
Today, she was again booked in for an MOT, the ABS light came on... AS I PULLED ON TO THE ROAD!
I'm done, I've never liked the 38's so don't know why I bought it in the first place.. I don't have a nanocom or such like so I can't tell you what the problem is.. She has also today decided to slump on one side... the EAS still works and does what it should, but just lopsided........
I bought a classic last week and would rather invest my time in that so this just needs to be gone. Looking for £1250 to recoup some of what it owes me. I've not cleaned it not even shown it a hoover, it will need a good scrubbing..
I also have a second 38 for spares with a very nice interior, happy to do a deal on both.
Having trouble with picture loading but keep trying and ad to add...
The car is based just outside Farnborough, Hampshire. GU11 postcode.

Edit: A friend popped round a couple of weeks ago with his magic box, its a bloody speed sensor! Front off-side to be precise... So either needs knocking back, a new sensor, or an ABS ring...
