We'll I've given this some more thought and have decided to go ahead sell my truck, it's just not practical for me plus there's potentially a new commute to Manchester on the cards :) All it needs is a partial loom from a 19j or a couple of lengths of wire if your handy with electrics and bobs your uncle. Also I've just found my hub spanner and steering wheel puller so they might as well go in with the truck...plus I'm fighting a loosing battle with the boss. Here's the add again;

For sale I have my 1985 landrover SWB 90 van, it's had a 200tdi conversion (discovery engine) and has covered 108000 which as you know is nothing. it's been raised 2" and is sitting on Insa turbo special tracks with plenty of meat left on the tyres. It comes with a front winch (needs a service) and a working snorkel. The chassis is solid and the battery box has recently been welded (I'm more than happy for any buyer to climb underneath and give it a tap with a hammer) The truck has been used off road so does have some dings but nothing you can't tap out.
Tax end of April and MOT end of October 2014 Since owning (May) I've spent a small fortune, I've:

Had a TOAD AI606 Cat 1 alarm immobiliser professionally fitted with certificate and spare fob (brings the insurance right down)
recently fitted an O.E. heavy duty clutch Kit with reinforced clutch folk (not even covered 300 mile yet)
upgraded the headlights using an ARB headlight harness so my headlights actually work at night. they also have crystal headlights fitted
both propshafts have new UJ's fitted
new steering UJ's and column have been fitted
a new steering arm has been fitted
Drivers side wheel hub has been rebuilt
Engine thermostat has been changed
Transfer box oil has been changed
Transfer box bearing has been changed
Both Diff seals have been changed and filled with the correct Diff oil
New air filter installed
new speedo drive and housing assembly (to match the 265/75/26 tyres)
fitted a new air hose to turbo pipe (like rocking horse poo to get) to the snorkel works as it should
Fitted a new transfer box handbrake cable
It's got a brand new Optima Red top fitted (4 days old!!) off marc7
New LED sidelights fitted
New Fog and reverse lamps fitted
A stereo ISO block has been fitted to make changing the stereo easier

To be honest there's probably more but I cant remember

The truck will also come complete with:
4X Wolf steel wheels with colway 245/70/26 tyres
Another Hub rebuild kit (bought two)
A brand new cyclone engine breather
Brand new gear box oil (propper stuff)
Transfer box and gear box seal kit
some heavy duty rocksliders (haven't got round to fitting)
A genuine metal jerry Can
Landrover steering wheel puller
Hub nut spanner
And 200tdi airfilter

All receipts to prove!

I'm selling as the truck developed an electrical issue today with has resulted in the engine loom been partially damaged. A 19j loom will do the job nicely or if you okay with electrics you could make one. The damage was done it seems by a severed starter motor wire which has caused a voltage surge. As it stands the truck won't start and I don’t want to risk trying starting It incase it causes more damage. It drives perfectly and pulls in all gears. I've got a 5 month old baby and the Mrs is whining so it maybe time to bite the bullet and buy something with 5 doors….it'll keep the peace

It's an honest motor and I'm genuinely sad to see it go

£2,300 it's a really good price and your getting a lot for it as we all know they hold their money.

The damage is not as severe as first thought the loom is fine. There are only two damaged wires the brown ones which attach to the starter solenoid;
