150 bhp diesel engine

after reading about the elusive 150 bhp diesel engine fitted to a 525tds i tried to find one but couldnt so i settled for a late omega engine due to time constraints(misses moaning about nicking her car)looked on autodata was only fitted to the bmw or so i thought, i had to have the lot as a rod popped out the side straight into my loom and knackered my ecu when the range was back on the road it was seriously more powerful than before i just thought i had got a chipped ecu from the breakers and was lucky as i only paid 100 quid for it recently got it cecked and its not been re-mapped so i took another look at the engine and found it to be a y25dt not an x25dt checked with vauxhall the y25dt is 156 bhp as standard only fitted to 2001 omega no other year had it re-mapped now .**** its quick !!!!
moral of the story get the 2001 omega engine with y25dt on the side dont bother looking for a range rover engine
