Hi All,

Wondered if anyone knew the measurements around the positioning of the engine mounts on a v8 110 chassis. I have a new richards chassis with v8 mount, but my old donor vehicle is a 300tdi.

measurements of the mounts relative to each other, and relative to the front of the chassis would be useful, plus any others that may be in existence.

Thanks

Adam

what are you trying to do ? fit a 300tdi into a V8 chassis ? If you have a richards chassis for V8 the mounts should be on there as they are welded not bolted !

I must have not explained it very well.

I have a 300tdi donor vehicle which I will swap onto my new richards chassis. New chassis is v8 spec, so mounts should be in the correct place, but I'd like to confirm that they are before I start painting the chassis.

Got to be honest I'm still not sure what you mean. Why would you buy a v8 chassis if your putting a 300tdi in it?

Ahh that makes more sense. Why do you need any measurements though? I'm presuming you told Richards that you would be using an R380 along with the v8? At least I'm assuming your using an R380?

R380 with v8 r380 bell housing etc etc.... Which ashcrofts tell me means that the mounts on a v8 spec chassis should be in the correct place...

I just want some measurements to make sure the chassis has been made correctly... That's all...

the gearbox mounts for v8 bolt to chassis side rails for lt85 , with seperate square box section cross member , in my 110 v8 chassis , the r380 sits on a smaller section cross member admittedly without the V8 on the front now :)
