I seem unable to find an answer to this question by searching. I have a 110 (Td5 chasis & axles) with what I suspect is a worn rear diff. I swapped the front final drive out earlier this year for one from a 1994 Disco1 as the front diff was severely worn at the cage and spider gears.
I suspect the cage in the rear diff is suffering from slight elongation of the hole through which the pin/shaft passes. I will know for sure at least by next weekend when I pull the unit out for inspection.
So my question is: What rear final drive unit (diff) is compatible with the Td5 110 rear 24 spline axle? I've heard the P38 final drive is compatible true or false?
I would prefer to swap out my current unit for a good condition diff for convenience rather than rebuild. Your comments as usual are greatly appreciated.
