Hi,
I've just changed all of the suspension bushes on my 110. I used standard rubber bushes and couldn't believe the difference driving home last night, the whole car felt tighter and a lot less vague. It's a 1986 ex military model and I would guess they've never been changed, when I was removing the bushes on the rear lower trailing arms the press was up to 7 tons before they started moving.
I want to change the ball joint as well. I changed it a couple of years ago, but the rubber split within weeks and it's going again. Is it possible to buy one with a good quality rubber gaiter that will last more than a couple of weeks? It seems nowadays that every steering link etc that I change on any make of car has rubber made of chewing gum.
