I know it's not to everyone's taste. Some may call it chav but I fancied a bit more noise from my ex MoD 110 :D

I recently had the center box cut out and a straight through pipe welded in it's place but it was surprising quiet still. Very quiet in fact, almost as if nothing had been changed. The only silencer on the system was the small box right near the back. So this morning I've been out and fixed that!

I ordered a replacement rear pipe (keeping the old system in case I want to put it back on) for £22. Next I ordered a clamp in flex section to replace the back box. So during the week I cut the box out and and painted the new exhaust in the hope that it may last more than a few years. Not sure if the black paint will last or fall off but I had the paint kicking around so it was worth a try. For now the flex section (which is straight through) is just bolted on and is air tight but maybe in future if I buy a welder I'll attempt to weld it together.

Now I fitted it all up this morning and it sounds awesome. It's still surprisingly quite though considering its basically a straight through pipe from front to back. At tick over you wouldn't believe its not a stock system but blip the throttle and it has a nice subtle bark.

The exhaust half built before I clamped the rear pipe on -

Side by side against the old exhaust (stock exhaust surprisingly rusty considering its less than 2 years old!)

Gave it another coat of paint today and tidied up the paint around the flexi. Definatly loving the sound although I think it may be louder on the outside that I thought :flame2:
