I would like to upgrade the cab seats on my 101 FC Ambli to something more comfortable. I'm guessing I'm not the first.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what car seats might fit and suit the Ambli?

Yep - exmoor trim classic high back

Bolted straight through the wheel arch (ie not movable, but when would you ever want them closer to the peddles anyhow!)

Mine are in techno trim, or whatever its called - made such a difference to get shot of the sweaty black vinyl things.

The classic high back are not that much money either - they come up on ebay every other month or so - under £100 for a pair (i paid 60 iiirc)

yes, but you dont want to pay that sort of money - should get a pair for that price

...and leather effect is sweaty

...and mine had (have) a frame of sorts on the bottom that i could bolt through to fix them down. im sure you dont need it, but it seem that black one does not have a frame

people often fit the classic seats across the 2nd row on 110 csws - they fit two high back, and a low back in the center

Probably cause it's leather. I will keep an eye out

here is an ebay link to a completed -

its good for the photos of the frame. i think the ones there were set up for the back of a 90. mine have the frame directly on the base of the seat, but not the 'leg' bit (i might have had the leg, and taken it off - i really cant recall)

I cant remember quite how i fitted them - i think i must have drilled the frame, and somehow slid bolts in there, but how i then did it all up - who knows - i dont think it was involved anyhow.
