Next door neighbour has one of the above. The lady has just pulled the door trim off by opening the door when it was the perfect height above a low wall to catch the trim. Her hubby is coming back in a few hours.
I'm trying to find out how the trim clips work.
I've found these on ebay and they look the same. EBAY LINK What I can see on her clips is a small plastic ball about 3mm diameter. Is that what is on the white piece and do they just bang in to the yellow piece? Know nothing about the D3, I'm usually on the Defender forum. Cheers for any help.
EDIT
I'm just thinking about what it looked like, the small plastic ball might have been on the door part of the clip. Will that mean they have snapped?
2nd EDIT
Due to age my memory is iffy, so I went out and had another look. The plastic ball is on the door part of the clip. There are other big black clips in there, so I'll have to track down those. I'm thinking the plastic balls (or the opposite holes) are probably now slightly deformed and so won't grip and hold?
Will this be a straightforward job to pull the lot off and refit with new clips. If it was mine I'd just do that, but don't want to volunteer for the neighbour if it's a nightmare and I could make it worse for them.
