05 discovery 3 HSE sat nav problems.

Hi every one, help and advice wanted please.
Since fitting a new battery to my discovery 3 my sat nav doesn't work.
The radio and all other electrics are working fine.
The sat nav screen reads "Disc installed is not a map disc" it was fine before fitting the battery with the same disc installed which is the genuine original land rover disc.
Has anyone come across this before or anyone any ideas or advise.
