most rad places will say you need a new rad if its aluminium because the older copper brass ones were / are easy to repair. I use a special glue that runs like solder just for aluminium cores .

Thermostat housing o-ring is a favorite one, left hand side of engine low down at the back, does not always make alternator squeal, when mine was fixed the garage had to remove the rocker cover too get at a hose, this entailed removing the injectors, early Td4's (mine was a 2000 year) were prone to the injectors seizing in the head (later models had o-rings sealing the injector threads to stop water getting in and corroding the threads) the head had to come off mine to allow at least one of the injectors to be drilled out. Wish I had left it alone and just kept topping the coolant up.:(
