Honestly I'm a little surprised it has 5 wires. Black, black, black/white, black/yellow and black/green. Just sitting here one of the blacks is connected to the black/white and the black/yellow.

Can anybody explain how this switch works? I suppose the two signal wires b/y and b/w open at different pressures and at some point the b/g closes to the other Black wire but that's just a guess. I can test it but I haven't got a reservoir and pressure gage hooked up yet. Anybody got the scoop on this? THX

What vehicle are we talking about?

The P38 uses those colours.

That should do it, thanks a bunch. It's from a 95-02 Range Rover HSE but all I'm really concerned with is the cutoff switch for the pump so the black/yellow wire is the one I'm looking for.

Thanks. I'm sure you would not be interested really. Not enough to make a pile even. I have this ABS pump and an air ride compressor and that's it. The compressor is mounted in the trunk of my MGB from when I was playing with air bags in the front suspension (turned out not so good for a sports car but now I do at least have on board air), and this pump is to be the heart of a brake booster system on the same car if it all works out as planned. Sorry, really didn't mean to mislead...
