hey guys, just need a little help, have got the water pump and thermostat replacement done but I broke off the "part" that is on the other side of the thermostat and I can't for the life of me find out what it is called ????? Holds on with just one bolt if that helps my description

Thanks in advance
Josh

do you mean the pipes that go around the back of the engine
Hey teddy wood, the water pump goes on the block then the thermostat to the water pump and then there is a connecting piece to the pipe work, it s that connection that broke as I removed it?? I know I sound like a nitwit trying to explain it this way but mechanically I'm actually ok, I just don't know whether it's a temp sensor or the like but it may just be a barbed adapter that joins up with the pipe Work??

In any case thanks for any help

Regards josh

To try and figure this out, have attached diagram, the part that broke is the plastic bracket where the screw marked 5 goes in, surely I don't have to replace the whole f........!!! Pipe work.

I bet you mean the top of the water pump where number 4 on diagram O ring goes into if so yes you need a new top I did that once one very cold day, and it was brittle I made sure all the metal pipes around the back were undone before I put it back together.
