What's wrong with my Disco...if anything?

OK so maybe I did a silly thing and 'changed' two things so I don't know which has had the effect.

First I swapped 2 road tyres, 1 bald road tyre, and an AT (long story) for a new set of Goodyear Wrangler AT/s - same size, wheels etc.

Then, after only 20 miles of driving, I went green laning.

Anyway, now back and doing the 10 mile trip to work I'm finding the disco different to drive. It seems to have a lot more roll, and bounce - mostly at the back.
It feels a bit like the anti roll bar has been pinched or the shocks have gone

This could be one of three things;

1) I've broken something off road - but the anti roll bar is still there, shocks are still attached and look undamaged

2) It's all due to the new tyres - would it really make that much difference

3) It's all in my imagination - this is a real possibility!!

And yes, I have checked the tyre pressures.....

I just don't seem to have any confidence in the cornering anymore. Before it rolled, but stuck firm. Now it rolls, sticks firm, but feels like it gonna let go and kill me!

Any ideas?

Am I just going mad?

try jetwashing all the **** off? spent half a day on mine with the jet then G3
or you could put old wheels back on and c if that makes the diff

I had a good long go with a hose pipe - not a jet wash, but still pretty brutal as we have quite high pressure.

Got 90% off, then removed the reeds by hand

Though I don't think loads of mud would have this affect - more likely make it stiffer because it was clogged up.

Having said that, my brakes are hardly squealing at all now!!!!!!!!!!!

You could have 1 or more defective shockers without them looking damaged. The seals inside may have gone. If you can, undo the shocker from the axle and see if it slides up n down smoothly with resistance.

I don't remember getting above 40mph then. And anyway, having just driver a bumpy field it was always going to feel nice!!

Maybe I'm asking too much......I'm now feeling nervous cornering at 70mph when last week I was still accelerating at....err....errr...no more than that, officer :D

u g3'd it yet tim? ive done mine and was gobsmacked at the results i used a 240v polisher with water to put on and took off by hand you wudnt believe its the same mota

I've got a feeling you're talking about car cleaning here. I vaguely remember doing that once, many years ago as a 20yr old with my first car. Don't think I've done it since!

I haven't touched the visible parts yet other than a quick spray as I had the hose in my hand from doing the underneath. It's still that loverly whitey brown muddy colour. Might get chance to find a brush tomorrow.

WTF is g3 anyway !!

if it drove ok before laning and now dont summats a miss regardless of mileage, me box was great one minute then fecked the next.. **** happends

Is it shocks, tyres or my imagination !!!!?????!!!!

I'll have a good look at the shock if it ever stops raining. I'm stuck with the tyres.
