If the passenger door is the problem, then you can do that but it's usually the drivers door micro switches that play up.
Have you checked the switch functions with Nanocom?
Drivers door to drivers door or passenger door to passenger door micro switch swaps are OK

The drivers door latch was replaced about four years ago and it's the passenger doors turn now.
It was making a wierd noise the other evening and when the car was turned off the door switch worked....

If I can save a few bucks on the vat plus the vat plus the admin plus the import charge... Of around another 100€ on top of a P38 spec.. Not that I can avoid the charges but....

I have my scrapper car but it's lhd and I don't know if it can be modified or not but in reality I'd like a new replacement.

It is kind of true. They fitted a couple of variations over the years with some not quite the same although the internal motors are the same and can be switched over. Think the separate earth wire plug went in '97 so yours will be a single plug.

I don't know if Marty is back in the UK yet and last I heard he had run out of stock im the UK. That may have changed because he was thinking of coming back around now at one stage.

Changing the microswitches on the early models is a piece of cake. I believe the later ones are a bit more involved - that's progress.

That's the part that I fitted to mine 2 winters ago and its a lot cheaper now by about 50% but as you know where I live I phoned Rimmer's and gave them my vin number to be absolutely certain I got the right version for my year as apparently they did some minor changes. But as it was the drivers door on mine so don't know if that helps any Mate.

What a way to make things simple. Anyhow, update... It's behavior has become normal... Now an observation, I have leds in the puddles lights and the door in question had a flickering light. So, does the earth through the door closed micro switch also earth the puddle light?
I have rave but I don't have any wiring diagrams with it???

They might share the same earth or same earrh point. The loom will go through the A post to a connector. That connector might be worth a look, or flexing the loom near it.
