A couple of brokers said to me that the underwriters currently have a downer on Range Rovers, not Series, Defenders, Discoverys or Freelanders, just anything Range Rover; with the newer ones being stolen and the older ones having a tendency when crashed into something of totally destroying that other thing :/
Regards destroying the other things thats why my missis feels safe in a Land Rover

Speaking of which, if some of the little local darlings decide they want to go playing big skids out in the village later I think I might take the JCB out for a nighttime trundle...

I am having visions of the one at the start of The Italian job:D

That's a valid point, and a reminder to me to check all the brake lines; I can see that some have been replaced, but the originals have been left in place so I should spend some time underneath checking what have, and haven't, been renewed and removing the dead ones so come the MoT there is no confusion. Bloody annoying that until I get the Rangie a ticket I won't have my 4 post Bradbury here to set up and make use of.

Humm a member with a 4 post Bradbury, mentions of house move can you move a bit closer:p:D
thats just sods law you need to do work to get a mot so then you can get the ramp which would make it all so much easier:D

Yeah, the ramp isn't set up at the other end either, I was in the process of getting it usable when my marriage nose dived out of the blue and my entire life got turned on its head. Hopefully it won't be much longer till I can get some stability to it all and a decent work space up and running so I can start living again

I hope it all sorts itself out ok in the end.

Just chased up Island, hopefully if the parts haven't shipped already they'll let me go in and collect them as their really only just down the road.

Last night while removing the EAS Valve block I started cleaning up all the oil on that side of the engine bay, and to help with access I removed the intercooler to inlet manifold hose...a fair bit of oil came out. Now of course it could be that these have never been off in 215k miles and this is years worth of blowby, but having looked at prices of the rebuild bits for a TD04-11G4 (Flat Back for anyone else looking) I decided for the sake of 25 quid including gaskets I might as well order one to give the turbo a service while I'm going doing and full service on the engine and gearbox. Being a sleeve bearing turbo they're pretty robust so I don't expect to find many horrors but at it's age it doesn't surprise me that the seals could be well past their prime.

I was looking for anything over 106H, the Q speed rating is 99mph and seems to be reserved for serious mud-pluggas or remoulds, neither of which I really want for what I'm aiming to use the Rangie for
