hey, while googlin a few landy related items, came across thisLANDROVER FREELANDER/DISCOVERY/DEFENDER CAMBELT CHANGE on eBay, also, Land Rover, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 18-Apr-08 10:38:36 BST)

is this good value any one reckon?is it really a 2-4 hour jobby??jus had mine replaced and in total cost about 30quid!

even fer an eggspert, and with no stuck bolts etc, it's 2 hrs work, plus parts.
gorra be at least 120 notes, probably more like 180.

yup, more or less, unless yer gorra 200TDi - thass a bit different.

300 TDi has a "serpentine" auxilliary belt, that drives the fan, altenator and PAS pump. It's a grooved belt that can slip and squeal if loose or knackered.
The cam (timing) belt is inside the engine and is a toothed belt - if that one slips or breaks it fooks yer injun.
